Enemy naming
Those additions you made are great! I'm not sure how much time I can spend adding to the wiki during my out-of-town contract work (10-25 days starting September 21st), but it's high on my priority list. I will attempt to make entries as I'm able. My first goal is to now create per-enemy integer scaled the images to make their thumbnails fit the criteria; This will require many additions and deletions of images to figure out the limitations. Next, I will try to spearhead the trophy/achievement list, gathering tips and information from the various forums to make their entries more robust and useful.
I'll concede on the term "glitch", it's more prevalent in the userbase than "corrupt" and is therefore now a standard term. Just like new dictionary words are added based on the common usage. I will still endeavor to minimize it's use in my entries.
I agree with your decision to use your enemy names over the texture file names. Based on "word of god" this is the way to go - your names will then become canon if all goes well. It's certainly better than the random descriptions everyone's been using to describe enemies - there needs to be a standard. This is *the* wiki, and given Tom's okay, that is the correct way to proceed. What I will need from you then is a translation table of which file names are which enemy names. In particular, I want to know which enemies are definitely required for the Hacker trophy, and which sprites I ripped are not part of that trophy's requirement. Is the number truly 60? If my laptop's up to it, I can play through the game again with the purpose of finding any unknown variables to solidify any unknowns.
So-far I do not recognize Porcupine and Streeg. I do not believe I've seen them in my game. Granted, I still haven't actually progressed any further than the first few rooms of Mar-Uru. I will probably actually re-start the game before I proceed any further (I made it to endgame in Final Fantasy VIII Four times over the course of 6 years before actually beating it - the pleasure is in the journey, not the goal)
No rush; I will be busy for the next few days getting to know the crew and task I will be assigned (this involves after-work drinking which will take up most of my computer and sleep time).
Glad to be able to help! I want to make this Wiki be the central nexus of information on Axiom Verge. As information is added, more will join the cause and make it complete more rapidly. As I see it now, the most useful user-gathered data is scattered through several forums and blogs.
During my down-time at work I will try to gather this information from the various social media and forums to add to this database. Every new useful addition will draw more people here so we can solidify more of the mechanics of the game.
