Ooooo000oOOOoooo I like this! ^^ I never thought of that. Athetos makes several clones he turns into Variants (as evidenced by the Notes), but nothing says he can't make one and not modify.
Taking that a step further, it's possible that another clone of Athetos (or possibly even the original) could live on after Elsenova kills the one in Mar-Uru! That could lead to Axiom Verge 2!
